Finance Integration Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Integration Lead to join our Finance team and play a crucial role in our M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) activities. This position will report to the Controller and focus on financial due diligence, acquisition accounting, and the financial integration of acquired entities including analysis of accounting standards, assessment of accounting policies, and integration of financial systems, processes and controls post-acquisition. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, deep understanding of accounting principles and standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This role provides an opportunity to develop professionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while playing a critical role in the success of strategic acquisitions and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • M&A Due Diligence:
    Lead the financial due diligence process, analyzing financial statements, assessing risks, and identifying opportunities within target companies. Provide detailed financial insights and recommendations to support M&A decision-making.
  • M&A Accounting:
    Oversee the accounting and reporting related to mergers and acquisitions ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Handle the post-acquisition accounting treatments, including purchase price allocation, goodwill assessments and consolidation of financial statements.
  • Analysis of Accounting Standard Differences:
    Analyze and identify differences between accounting standards as they apply to target companies and provide recommendations for aligning the accounting treatments post-acquisition.
  • Financial Integration:
    Manage the integration of financial systems, processes, and reporting between acquired entities and the parent company. Ensure a smooth transition of financial data, including aligning financial reporting and operational practices with the parent company’s standards.
  • Development of Control Environment:
    Participate in the development and refinement of the control environment for acquired companies. Ensure the establishment of adequate controls over financial reporting, risk management, and compliance processes during the integration phase.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare detailed assessments, reports, and presentations for senior management regarding the financial integration process, including key findings on accounting policy differences, control risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal teams (legal, tax, and operations) to align financial strategies with business objectives and ensure smooth execution of M&A transactions. Provide financial guidance throughout the integration process and provide support in addressing any complex accounting and control issues that arise during integration.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Support:
    Assist with financial analysis related to M&A activities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Hold a CPA designation.
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance role, with a strong background in M&A due diligence and reporting, including purchase price allocation, goodwill, and financial consolidation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Experience working with international environments.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify key insights, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • The ability to assess, develop, and implement controls related to financial reporting, risk management, and operational processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact effectively with senior leadership.
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
