Company Overview
Sharp Reflections is an innovative software company specializing in “big data” seismic analysis solutions. Following a recent acquisition by CMG Group, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced executive to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and success. The GM will work closely with the CMG Seismic Solutions management team and will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, scaling operations, and ensuring continued innovation and market leadership.

Role Summary
As the GM, you will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, financial performance, and strategic vision. You will be a key driver in integrating the company into Seismic Solutions, while optimizing its culture, values, and customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a high-growth company, managing complex transitions, leading change and transformation and working closely with Seismic Solutions management team and other stakeholders to achieve ambitious business goals. The ideal candidate will possess domain knowledge in geophysics and use this knowledge to effectively carry the product vision forward and drive continued innovation in the field. One of the main criteria of success is critical thinking and bias for action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a clear strategic vision for the company, ensuring alignment with the Seismic Solutions President’ vision.
  • Lead the integration process post-acquisition, ensuring smooth transitions in operations, culture, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and expand market share while maintaining profitability.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and performance to ensure sustainable financial health.
  • Foster a high-performing leadership team, attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, employees, partners, other Business Units and investors.
  • Maintain and enhance company culture while embracing change and fostering innovation.
  • Enhance operational excellence, optimizing efficiency and scalability.
  • Represent the company in public forums, media, and industry events as needed.
  • Work closely with the outgoing founder-CEO to clarify the company’s unique selling proposition and revise its go-to-market strategy in response to establishment of CMG Seismic Solutions.
  • Partner with Seismic Solutions and CMG  Sales team  to own the product GTM ensuring adequate commercial pipeline and conversion rate is established to achieve aggressive growth targets.
  • Provide technical leadership in geophysics-related product development and innovation, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technological advancements in the field.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a GM, or Business until leader within a fast-growing company, preferably post-acquisition.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale organizations, drive revenue growth, and navigate market challenges.
  • Experience leading teams through change management and corporate integrations.
  • Track record of creating and driving high performance culture, managing success planning and driving engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. These will be particularly critical to set and manage customer expectations going forward, as CMG’s subsurface offerings grow.
  • Strong critical thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to set long term strategic vision for the organization.
  • Industry experience in geophysics, with a deep understanding of the technology and market landscape.
  • Experience in software development or technology-driven solutions within the geophysics sector is highly preferred.
